Sadly like most people these days, I have neglected my Live Journal which is a shame because I have met some lovely people through it and I've found that I was more successful in making new friendships via LJ than I have been using Facebook or Twitter.
After a long absence I am trying to use my journal again to get some of the thoughts out of my head and written down in the hope that I don't have to spend every day with them running around inside my brain and affecting my emotions. So far I seem to be sticking with this plan.
These days my main interest is using my Samsung Galaxy tablet for its drawing apps and posting superhero themed art on Instagram and Deviant Art. Always good to have a creative outlet.
"The world is like a ride in an amusement park and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and around and around and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, and they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because... this is just a ride."
"To me, the comic is the guy who says 'wait a minute' as the consensus forms...He's the antithesis of the mob mentality. The comic is a flame - like Shiva the Destroyer, toppling idols no matter what they are. He keeps cutting eveything back to the moment"
Swords in hand at the bloody fields of history We rend our blades through dogma and humility Carve the future according to our will Set worlds ablaze with our seething fire Let you all acknowledge that we are here As masters to rule this failing humanity Our beings formed in rage and defiance With strength to trample the weak and the foolish And so we march with burning brands Temples of flame on our path to glory
